William Spurgeon

Bill Spurgeon has over 35 years of experience in leading and growing industrial businesses in the Flow, Energy, Defense and Aerospace, and General Industrial Markets.

Bill’s most recent role before retiring in 2019 was President and CEO of Dover Fluids, a $2.9B division of Dover Corporation. This business served the global pump, fluid handling, compressor/bearings systems markets, and delivered specialized components/equipment for fueling and vehicle wash, as well as dispensing of critical materials into the chemical, food and pharma end markets.

Prior to this role, he was President and CEO of four Dover segments including Dover Engineered Systems from 2013 to 2014, Dover Energy from 2011 to 2013, Dover Fluid Management from 2007 to 2011, and Dover Diversified from 2004 to 2007.

Bill started his business career with Hercules Aerospace Inc., then as Marketing Manager with CTEC, a GE Joint Venture. He then joined Dover Corporation and served in engineering, sales, general management and as an operating company President.

Bill currently serves on the Boards of Camcraft, Industrial Service Solutions, Premier Safety, Reflective Apparel, Flex Pack and Project Hero.

A native of Missouri, Bill graduated from the United States Military Academy-West Point and served 5 years in the U.S. Army as a helicopter pilot. He earned his MBA from the University of Tennessee.
