Phil Christianson

Phil has thirty years of experience leading divisions of Fortune 25 companies and improving mid-sized companies that provide health plan administration services, disease management, SaaS, and health information technology to health care providers, health plans and employers. He has extensive experience selling businesses and integrating acquired units.

From 2001 through today, Phil was recruited to improve six companies: as CEO of CBSA, a large health benefits administrator and medical management company owned by Code Hennessey & Simmons; as CEO of RealMed, a SaaS revenue cycle management company focused on physicians, where he drove operational and revenue improvements resulting in a #1 KLAS ranking (owned by HCSC and BCBS North Carolina); as CEO of Focused Health Solutions, a disease management and wellness company (owned by Linden); as CEO of Payment America, a revenue cycle management company focused on hospitals (owned by Council Capital); and as CEO of HealthSmart, one of the largest integrated commercial third party administrator, care management, PBM and PPO network companies in the country. All six companies were sold to strategic buyers (Aetna, Availity, Trustmark Insurance, Premier Credit, and Centene Corporation, respectively).

Phil also led divisions of The Walt Disney Company and United Health Group. Today, Phil serves as CEO of California Medical Evaluators, as well as serving on its board since 2017. In between CEO roles, he has acted as an advisor to and investor in health services and information technology companies.

Phil earned a Master of Business Administration from The University of Southern California, a Juris Doctorate from Loyola Law School, and a Bachelor of Arts, summa cum Laude, from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.
